Here's the deal. Again.
So, I set the end date for my previous ChipIn on my cat's birthday. I had hoped this would help people to reach into their heart-shaped wallets and help me get my much needed equipment. Sadly, I only got 31% of what I need. Apparently, a lot of you hate my cat. A reality, by the way, he didn't take very well. "Hey, Harby," I said, as he sat betwixt his food dish and my stack of 2010-2011 Bloomberg Businessweek that I got in the mail for no reason.
"Yes?" he seemed to say.
"Happy birthday," I told him, then adding "but even though my first ChipIn ended today, I only got 31% of my goal, which means 69% of the world would like to ruin your damn moment because I guess they hate you."
This was his response:
Humans are the only animal that evolved the ability to cry, but man, did he ever try.
Speaking of whom, I awoke to a great thud, the other day. Seems in an effort to eat away his self-loathing by jumping on my desk and gulping down my left over tuna casserole, he shoved my already weakened microphone to an early demise upon the floor. This is what's left:
Oddly, it doesn't work anymore. I guess you're not supposed to see inside your microphone, WHO KNEW?!
Anyway, I was hoping to get at least 50% of my previous goal, and I didn't. So, with any luck, I'll get at least that much this time, with a smaller goal and a similar time frame.
